Pat Lambrose

Pat Lambrose is an avid backcountry skier who began exploring Wasatch trails in the winter of 1973/74. She is from Salt Lake City and Park City. Even though the UAC wasn’t official until the 1980/1981 winter, Pat and colleague, Jeff Larsen, recorded an avalanche hotline out of the SL Ranger District office in the winter of 1979/1980. Pat is a former UAC forecaster from 1979-1986. Pat taught avalanche safety courses for the University of Utah’s Outdoor Recreation program in the 1980s. She is a lifelong educator who retired from Salt Lake City School District in 2010. Pat has been teaching UAC’s avalanche Backcountry 101 courses since 2012. She enjoys helping “beginner” avalanche students gain confidence and knowledge in the backcountry.
