Sam Galoob loves investigating the snow, surfing powder (and sastrugi), and most of all – teaching eager students. He has “nerded out” in the snow as an intern with the Chugach National Forest Avalanche Information Center, been an observer for the Hatcher Pass Avalanche Center and taught for the Alaska Avalanche School in Alaska; he has cat ski guided in Steamboat Springs, CO, and currently teaches with American Avalanche Institute, Utah Mountain Adventures, and the Utah Avalanche Center in the Wasatch.
When Sam he isn’t powder hunting, he and his wife Jessie spend their time in the desert Southwest and Alaska guiding backpacking and hiking, slithering through slot canyons, sidewinding singletrack, and searching for the perfect chimichanga.
