Justin is a self-proclaimed powder snow addict, chasing winter as it migrates between the northern and southern hemispheres. He recently completed his 30th consecutive winter in 15 years, guiding back-to-back seasons of heliskiing with Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing in Canada and Patagonia Heliski in Chile. An entrepreneur at heart, Justin capitalized on his many years of experience in South America to establish the first professional heliski operation in Patagonia, where he has been pioneering new ski terrain during the austral winter. His passion for skiing was born in the midwestern hills of the Great Lakes area, where his father, a volunteer ski patroller, taught him to ski at a young age. Now a Canadian Ski Guide Association (CSGA) certified guide, Justin has been guiding since the age of 19 and has also worked as a snow safety technician and avalanche educator for over a decade. Between ski seasons, he and his wife can be found on a beach somewhere in the world, enjoying a brief thaw before returning to winter again. The two call Park City, Utah their home, where they enjoy skiing and biking with their two children.
