Diego Allolio
Diego Allolio is a passionate backcountry skier who is learning to be a dad, while doing
what he loves to do. Since an early age, he fell in love with Patagonia where he resides and works most of the year for Aprendica Snow Safety and Magellanica Guides.
Since 2010, Diego has been spearheading standardized avalanche education in South America with AIARE and since 2022 with American Avalanche Institute. As a guide and instructor, Diego has led numerous expeditions to the Pacific Northwest, Wyoming, Alaska, Mexico, Patagonia and Aconcagua. Diego is an AAGM mountain guide, PSIA Telemark ski instructor, and AIARE instructor. He worked for NOLS for over 17 years.
