A Colorado-transplant with midwestern roots, Britni’s love for the mountains runs about as deep as her love for adventure. Since moving west more than a decade prior, she’s picked up a number of adult passions, activities, and skillsets, including learning to ski at the ripe old age of 23. This has ultimately blossomed into a profound love, appreciation, and respect for the backcountry across numerous disciplines, and a copious amount of personal and professional pursuits within that world. She has been a full-time, professional cat-ski and backcountry-touring guide with Steamboat Powdercats since the winter of 2013, and she began teaching recreational avalanche education courses for AAI in the winter of 2019. When not seeking out deep powder stashes or big spring steeps, she is an avid mountain biker, trail runner, rock climber, yogi, and foodie. Britni is also a certified holistic nutritionist, a certified personal trainer, and former organic farmer – blending her passions for food, health, physical activity, and the outdoors through various types of 1:1 client work, group programming, garden consulting, and other forms of vitality-inspired community engagement via her personal nutrition practice and holistic wellness business, toBnourished. She resides in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, yet has an ever-growing love affair with the Tetons.
