Avalanche Course Descriptions
AAI operates under special use permits on the
Bridger-Teton and Wasatch-Cache National Forests.
Avalanche courses are at least 60% field based,
traveling in and around avalanche terrain, in a
mountainous environment. Class sessions will include
interactive sessions which may include
decision-making scenarios, season history
reconstruction, snowpack analysis, and operational
decision making.
